About Reconciling Works
Reconciling Works–Chicago is the local chapter of ReconcilingWorks, a national organization that works for full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people within the Lutheran (and wider) church among all aspects of the life of the Church a nd its congregations.
ReconcilingWorks advocates for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Lutherans in all aspects of the life of their Church and congregations. We provide a place of comfort and safety. We reach out to teach that Christ's message, the Gospel, is for everyone equally. We call for the blessing of committed and covenanted same-gender relationships, and for the ordination of those called to minister.
Publicity about RW–C's activities & events can be found on our Facebook page (listed above) or in our e-news (send an email to revctp@gmail.com to be included in the e-news distribution list). E-newsletter is sent every month—with more frequent postings during particularly active months (e.g. January is RIC month, June is Gay Pride month).
