Purpose of the Coalition

Pride Flag.

The Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches is a collaboration of more than 80 churches and other ministries in the Chicago metropolitan area which welcome and affirm people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We have two goals:

  • To spread the message of our members' LGBTQ-inclusion across the Chicago metropolitan area, mindful that a positive message about sexual and family diversity is a gift to all people.
  • To connect the leaders, members, and guests of our partner churches for fellowship and education, enabling support and resource-sharing for the practices of faithful welcome.

Mission Statement

Living Well Ministries supports “lives of faith, intention and service” through classes, retreats and spiritual life coaching.

Other Information

Living Well Ministries (LWM) was founded in October 2007 by Rev. Jacki Belile, CEC, an ordained American Baptist minister and certified empowerment coach. Through spiritual life coaching, retreats and weekly classes, LWM creates sacred spaces to support and equip people committed to living well with God, Self, and Others.

LWM programs are inspired by the intersection of two movements: the Faith and Health Movement and the Welcoming Churches Movement. In both of these modern streams, we work to provide tools and support for “living well,” whether in relation to our neighbors, God, ourselves, our bodies, tradition… The list could go on and on!

Those who seek support for lives of faith, intention and service find at LWM a unique combination of one-on-one and community support for wellness-oriented discipleship. LWM provides a non-judgmental space of discernment, study, and companionship. Those who are drawn here may be de-churched, dis-churched, under-churched or over-churched. Regardless of where you’re coming from, the welcome table is set for you!

Currently an independent ministry, LWM is rooted in the wellness and justice work of a number of wider communities. It is currently affiliated with these like-minded coalitions:
