Irving Park United Methodist Church seeks through worship and witness to create a Christian community that affirms the worth of all humanity. Our worship life is centered in the Word and Sacraments and in a creative celebration of our faith. The congregation provides through education for all ages the opportunity to increase and share a greater understanding of the faith, in order that we might grow in grace and in practice. This Reconciling Congregation witnesses to the neighborhood and the world through a variety of ministries and services. Love and fellowship are at the heart of these ministries. As grace is the gift, service is the task which unites us in our mission.
You're invited to worship with us on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. You will hear a challenging, caring, Biblically-based message, some great music, make friends with your neighbors, and perhaps be touched and claimed by God. There is always a special time for children in worship that tells of a loving God. Nursery care is provided. Children leave partway through the service for activities that will engage them on the same worship themes as in the remainder of the service.
